These can be reactive, toxic and flammable and must therefore only be handled under the highest safety standards. We undertake the professional utilisation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in liquid, solid, pasty or dusty form. With our many years of expertise, we dispose of chemicals and chemical waste for industrial companies, laboratories and other companies in a legally compliant and resource-saving manner.
Disposal of chemicals: from analysis to utilisation
REMONDIS Italia offers you a competent one-stop service for the disposal of chemicals. We not only dispose of chemicals from laboratories and the chemical industry, but also waste containing hazardous substances. This can be, for example, paint sludge, putty and levelling compounds, resin powder, activated carbon or gas cylinders. Here, we take care of the safe transport and individual treatment in the respective treatment facility from the REMONDIS facility network. All processes required for the proper treatment of waste are monitored by trained specialists in our own laboratory.

Specialised areas in chemical disposal
Safe disposal of hydrogen fluoride
In collaboration with REMONDIS Industrie Service, we dispose of the hydrogen fluoride contained in pressurised gas containers and then send the containers for metal recycling.
Treatment of organometallic compounds
At the Bramsche site, organometallic compounds are delaborated in a glove box under an inert gas atmosphere.
Highest process reliability
The long retention time in the incineration facilities guarantees that even highly reactive substances such as phosphides and carbides react completely and safely.
Neutralisation and treatment of chemicals at REMONDIS facilities
As part of REMONDIS Industrie Service, we rely on the utilisation and recycling solutions within the facility network to treat and utilise chemical waste. This enables us, among other things, to use chemical-physical treatment facilities for neutralising or processing chemicals. Suitable systems such as gas scrubbers and fixed-bed absorbers are also available for the neutralisation of gases. Solid and liquid substances are processed in closed systems to avoid harmful emissions during the treatment process. For substances that no longer permit material utilisation, thermal utilisation takes place in highly efficient incineration facilities such as the hazardous waste incineration facility in Bramsche. Energy and heat are recovered in the process – a contribution to the sustainable use of resources.
